2. Honda demonstrates FCX Clarity at the European Youth Parliament's International Session

 

 

Honda has worked with the European Youth Parliament to support its 64th International Session, which took place in Frankfurt, Germany in early August. The members of the Committee on Transport and Tourism (TRAN) got a chance to learn about Honda's environmental technology and to discuss the subject of sustainable mobility. Members of TRAN were also offered the unique opportunity to ride in the FCX Clarity, Honda's zero emission hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle.

3. Honda Soltec Begins Sales of New Residential-use Solar Cell Module

 

 

Honda Soltec Co., Ltd., Honda's wholly-owned solar cell subsidiary, today began sales of two new residential-use solar cell modules with maximum output of 130W and 120W respectively. The new residential-use solar cell module with maximum output of 130W achieves solar energy conversion efficiency of 11.6%*1, thanks to a new production technology; this is the highest among CIGS-based solar cells currently being sold in Japan.

4. Honda Jazz Hybrid - Low Emissions and Practicality

 

 

The Jazz Hybrid will make its world motor show debut at the Paris Motor Show in September, further demonstrating Honda's continuing commitment to petrol-electric hybrid technology.  The launch of the latest addition to the practical Jazz line-up will mark the first time a parallel hybrid vehicle has been available to B-segment consumers.

5. Honda CR-Z Achieves Top Euro NCAP Overall Safety Rating

 

 

The Honda CR-Z has been rated one of Europe‘s safest cars, following on from the success of the Honda Insight, according to the new independent crash testing results from Euro NCAP. Euro NCAP's rating scheme focuses on the vehicle's overall safety performance which gives consumers an easy to understand single score. The system considers occupant protection in frontal, side, pole and rear impacts, child protection, pedestrian protection and the availability of driver aids. The Honda CR-Z has been awarded the maximum 5-star rating.

6. HondaJet Program Update Announced at 2010 EAA AirVenture Oshkosh

 

 

Honda Aircraft Company, Inc., has released a program update for its HondaJet advanced light jet program highlighting the milestone achievement of Power-On for its first conforming flight test aircraft.  Also announced was the successful consolidation of fuselage and wing assemblies for the first static test aircraft, which will be subjected to static structural testing beginning in August.

ASIMO travelled to Swindon, England, in July as the headline act in a celebration of the success of Honda (UK)'s acclaimed ‘School of Dreams' programme.
