London, England - 27th February 2009. ASIMO travelled to London this week where it visited the headquarters of the world famous newspaper, The Times.

ASIMO was invited to the newspaper by its Editor James Harding, who wanted to give Times journalists the chance to see the capabilities of the world's most advanced humanoid robot first hand.

The visit provided the journalists with the opportunity to analyse ASIMO's ground-breaking technology, debate the issues around robotics and provide their readers with an insight into the future capabilities of humanoid robotics.

As part of this analysis the paper's Japan correspondent, Leo Lewis, interviewed Mr Masato Hirose, Senior Chief Engineer at Honda R&D Co. Ltd. who has led Honda's humanoid research programme since its inception in 1986.

Whilst at the paper ASIMO spent time with the Editor and Times journalists, met a group of local school children and even attended the morning editorial conference to observe what stories were to be explored by the paper during the day.
